Dr. La-Toya Scott is a scholar and trained researcher whose work spans literary studies, Black feminist theory, cultural analysis, and digital humanities. She has conducted extensive archival research, close textual analysis, qualitative interviewing, and digital fieldwork in the production of her dissertation, peer-reviewed scholarship, and forthcoming monograph.

Her research examines how power, narrative, geography, and identity shape lived experience across historical and contemporary contexts. She is skilled in synthesizing large bodies of material, identifying structural patterns, and producing rigorous, theoretically grounded analysis for academic, institutional, and public audiences.
